Zovirax Duo-Active, indications for use
Recurrent infection of the skin of the lips caused by the herpes simplex virus (Herpes simplex) in adults and children over 12 years of age.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to acyclovir, valaciclovir, hydrocortisone and other components of the drug;
skin lesions due to other viruses, fungal, bacterial skin diseases, as well as parasitic skin infections;
Tumors of the skin, rosacea, vulgar acne, perioral dermatitis;
Children under 12 years.
Dosing and Administration
The drug should be applied a thin layer on the affected skin areas 5 times a day (every 4 hours), except for the night time. The treatment duration is not less than 5 days
Side effects
Do not apply the drug for more than 5 days. If symptoms persist, consult a physician. Used only for external use in adults and children over 12 years of age. The cream can be used ONLY WHEN THE HERPES OF SKIN GUB. Do not apply the drug to the mucous membranes of the mouth and eyes. Do not use to treat genital herpes. Do not use the drug in patients with immunodeficiency states, because they have a high risk of developing resistance to acyclovir
