Composition
The drug is a filtrate of phagolysates active against Klebsiella pneumonia.
Pharmachologic effect
Bacteriophage Klebsiella pneumonia (Klebsifag) is an immunobiological preparation. It has the ability to specifically lyster the bacteria Klebsiell pneumonia. It is intended for the treatment of purulent-septic and enteral diseases caused by Klebsiella pneumonia bacteria: surgical infections, diseases of the urogenital sphere, gastrointestinal tract, purulent-inflammatory diseases of the ear, throat, nose, respiratory tract and lungs, generalized septic diseases, purulent septic diseases newborns.
Indications
Klebsiella pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag) is intended for the treatment of purulent-septic and enteric diseases caused by Klebsiella pneumonia bacteria:
- surgical infections (suppurations, wounds, peritonitis, pleurisy, burns, mastitis, abscess, phlegmon, osteomyelitis, etc.);
- diseases of the urogenital sphere (cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis, colpitis, endometritis, sallingophoritis, etc.);
- diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (gastroeterocolitis, cholecystitis, intestinal dysbiosis);
- purulent-inflammatory diseases of the ear, throat, nose, respiratory tract and lungs (inflammation of the sinuses of the nose, middle ear, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, pleurisy);
- generalized septic diseases;
- purulent-septic diseases of newborns: sepsis of newborns, omphalitis, pyoderma, pemphigus, gastroenterocolitis.
- Bacteriophage Klebsiella pneumonia (Klebsifag) is also used for selective decontamination of the intestine, with dissemination of nosocomial strains of Klebsiell pneumonia.

How to take, the course of administration and dosage
The dose of Klebsiella pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag), the route of administration and the duration of use is determined by the attending physician depending on the disease.
The use of the drug does not preclude the use of other antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs.
In the treatment of diseases of the respiratory tract and lungs, the Klebsiella pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag) is used in the form of aerosols, and oral administration is also used.
In the treatment of other diseases, Klebsiella pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag) is applied topically in the form of irrigations, lotions, and also for the introduction of wounds, abscesses, abdominal, pleural, bladder, uterus, sinuses, middle ear into the cavities.
Bacteriophage Klebsiella pneumonia (Klebsifag) is used by mouth and in the form of high enemas in the treatment of gastroenterocolitis, cholecystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis, mastitis, generalized septic diseases.
Therapeutic dose of Klebsiella pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag) - 0.3-3 ml per 1 kg of body weight (10-200 ml). The drug is used 1-3 times a day for 7-20 days. Possible prolongation of the course of treatment (up to 40 days according to clinical indications) and repeated courses.
In case of abscesses after opening and removal of purulent contents, Klebsiella pneumonia (Klebsifag) bacteriophage is administered in an amount less than the volume of pus removed.
With osteomyelitis Klebsiella pneumonia (Klebsifag) bacteriophage is injected into the wound cavity through turunds, drainage in the amount of 25-50 ml.
When peritonitis, pleurisy Klebsiyell pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag) is injected through the drainage into the cavity of 20-200 ml. drug daily once.
In case of cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis, Klebsiella pneumonia (Klebsifag) bacteriophage is administered through a catheter in an amount of 20-30 ml once a day, and also taken through the mouth at a dose of 20 ml. 3 times a day.
In case of purulent-inflammatory gynecological diseases, 5-10 ml are administered once daily into the cavity of the vagina or uterus.
In the treatment of suppurations, wounds, Klebsiella pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag) is used in the form of irrigation, applications, dressings, administration through drainage.
In case of purulent-inflammatory diseases of the ear, nose and throat, Klebsiella pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag) is introduced into the cavity of the middle ear, nose, sinuses in a dose of 2-10 ml 1-Z times a day.
When Klebsiella enterocolitis, as well as in the treatment of dysbacteriosis Klebsiella pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag) is administered orally in a dose of 5-20 ml 3 times a day for 10-15 days. Perhaps a combination of double oral administration with a single injection of the drug in the form of a high enema.
Bacteriophage application of Klebsiella pneumonia (Klebsifag) in children up to 6 months in sepsis and enterocolitis of newborns, including premature babies: the bacteriophage is used in the form of high enemas at a dose of 3-5 ml 2-3 times a day. In the absence of vomiting and regurgitation, oral administration of the drug is possible. In this case, it is mixed with breast milk. A combination of rectal and oral administration of the drug is possible: rectal in the morning and evening, orally in the afternoon. The course of treatment is 5-15 days.
In the treatment of omphalitis, pyoderma, infected wounds Klebsiella pneumonia (Klebsifag) bacteriophage is used in the form of applications, daily, twice.
Special instructions
Opening of the vials and ampoules and the procedure for administering the drug is carried out with strict adherence to the rules of antiseptics. In case of violation of the integrity of the packaging and labeling, clouding of the drug it is not used. Storage of Klebsiella pneumonia bacteriophage (Klebsifag) after opening the vial or ampoule is not allowed.
