Chondroitin sulfate is a high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide that is a natural component of cartilage. Chondroitin sulfate improves the phosphorus-calcium metabolism in the cartilage, inhibits the enzymes that cause damage to the cartilage, inhibits the degeneration (destruction) of the cartilage, stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, promotes the regeneration (restoration) of the cartilage surfaces of the joints, accelerates the process of their repair, prevents the collapse of the connective tissue . This leads to a decrease in soreness and an increase in the mobility of the affected joints.

Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that has anti-inflammatory, analgesic effects. Meloxicam selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase 2, disrupts the metabolism of arachidonic acid, and reduces the number of prostaglandins (mediators of pain and inflammation) in the focus of inflammation. Meloxicam is a chondroneutral drug, does not adversely affect cartilage, does not affect proteoglycan synthesis by articular cartilage chondrocytes.
