Description
Suppositories torpedo-shaped from black-brown to dark brown in color with the smell of ichthyol. White plaque on the suppository surface is allowed.
Packaging
5 suppositories per blister per unit pack of polyvinyl chloride film laminated with polyethylene or a three-layer film of polypropylene - aluminum - polyethylene, or a two-layer film of aluminum - polyethylene.
Pharmacological action
Anti-inflammatory agent, has a local analgesic, antiseptic effect. The anti-inflammatory effect is associated with inhibition of the release of inflammatory mediators. With rectal administration, the drug Ichthyol has an irritating effect on the mucous membrane of the rectum, as a result of which blood circulation in the organs of the small pelvis is reflexively enhanced, metabolism improves, which helps eliminate inflammation in the prostate gland in men, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the uterus in women.
Indications
Salpingoophoritis, endometritis, prostatitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, children (up to 18 years).
Special instructions
Does not affect the ability to drive a vehicle or potentially dangerous machinery.
Precautions during pregnancy and lactation. Without a doctor’s prescription.
Composition
1 suppository contains:
active ingredient: ichthammol (ichthyol) - 200 mg excipients: water - 38 mg, emulsifier T-2 - 44 mg, the basis for suppositories is solid fat (Vitepsol (grade H 15, W 35 ), Supposir (brands NA 15, NAS 50)) - until a suppository weighing 1.23 g is obtained
Dosage and administration
Rectally, 1 suppository 1-2 times a day, after a cleansing enema or spontaneous bowel cleansing. The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the attending physician.

Local allergic reactions are possible.
